California Healthcare Interpreting Association (CHIA) – 17th Annual Educational Conference
17th and 18th March – San Jose, CA, USA
CHIA gathers interpreters, educators and providers working together to overcome cultural and language barriers to offer high-quality healthcare.
The 48th NeMLA Annual Convention
23rd – 26th March – Baltimore, USA
The 48th Annual Convention will feature approximately 400 sessions, as well as dynamic speakers and cultural events. The theme of this year’s convention is “Translingual and Transcultural Competence: Toward a Multilingual Future in the Global Era.”
24th – 26th March – Overland Park, KS, USA
Mid-America Chapter of the American Translators Association strives to formulate and maintain standards of professional ethics, practices and competence in the fields of translation and interpreting and to protect the rights and interests of professional translators. Their main goal is to provide a place for translators and other language professionals to share ideas and expertise. The conference will be held at Johnson County Community College.

28th February – 2nd March – Shenzhen, China
The official language of the conference is English. They offer rich and productive program with deep analysis and case studies. Very useful. I have only seen the site now, after all the events have been held, but hope this is repeated in months to come. By the way, one important event is the VIII ABRATES Conference in São Paulo, Brazil, from 25 to 27 May 2017. Some 900 people are expected.
