Discover Interpreting – Interview With Lourdes De Rioja
What is interpreting? Who are the people in the booths? How can you become a good interpreter?
I made these questions to an amazing interpreter, Lourdes de Rioja.
Lourdes De Rioja is a Spanish interpreter with 15 years of experience. She worked as a staff interpreter for the European Commission, then she decided to become a freelancer, and she started working for the European Parliament, the European Commission, the European Court of Justice and other clients. She is also a professor at the University of La Laguna, in Tenerife.
But the public knows her mainly for her blog, “A Word In Your Ear“, or www.lourdesderioja.com, where she publishes video-interviews with professional interpreters from European Institutions, United Nations and much more. You can find all her videos on her blog or in her YouTube channel.
